World of Warcraft’s subscription is about to get almost 3,000% more expensive in Argentina—and it’ll ‘only get worse with inflation’-

Last month, Argentinian World of Warcraft players found a nasty surprise in their inbox—an email from Blizzard announcing two separate price hikes to their World of Warcraft subscriptions, making the game prohibitively expensive. Firstly, though, some context is in order.

Last November, fellow PC Gamer writer Joshua Wolens covered the explosive increase of Steam prices in Argentina and Turkey. In Argentina specifically, inflation means that one US Dollar is around 824 Argentine Pesos (ARS).

Finally, a 3D printer that prints chocolate-

It was bound to happen: There is now a 3D printer that will print chocolates. It’s like a low-tech replicator from Star Trek that only makes dessert.

The Cocoa Press is the name of this confection-making device (spotted by Tom’s Hardware), which builds treats layer by layer like any other 3D-printed object. “It’s kind of like an automated piping bag,” says the company behind the device.

The chocolate is loaded into the printer via 70g tube cartridges called “chocolate cores” that will sell for $49 for a pack of ten (the device hasn’t been released just yet). The chocolate is a custom milk or dark chocolate made with palm oil. You can use your own chocolate, but the company says you may have to do some experimenting to get it to work. Printing temperature is one variable that…

WoW’s game director says he’s keen on organising its scattered story for new players- ‘that is a weakness … Chris Metzen and I chatted [about it] a bunch’-

In a recent interview with WoW’s community council (thanks, WoWhead), the game’s current director Ion Hazzikostas was asked about the current state of the story, and how dang hard it is to introduce new players to its extensive lore.

For context, World of Warcraft’s had a long-standing issue: a ton of lore can only be found in secondary media—novels and the like. In chatting with our resident WoW-liker and guides writer Sarah James, she mentioned that she had to pour through massive google documents assembled by players just to get a birds-eye view on the whole thing.

One is over 30 pages and she can’t remember where she found it, “I’m sure those links are from like, 2014”. As I look at this thing—with the only comment on it being a skeletal thumbs-up from …
